Mold in the bathroom ceiling, wallpaper peeling off the walls, and the bathroom drain would not drain.

The room was not very clean; the top blanket was dirty with stains, and there was hair on the same bed and in one of the towels. We were short on time, so I didn’t want to waste it calling the front desk for a room replacement. I’m glad I was only here for one night and would never stay here again.

I chose this hotel because I’d stayed here before, and its central location to Lake Superior rock‑hounding spots was perfect. The best part was the elevator—being a solo traveler, I felt safe. Great place to stay!

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We got upgraded to a large 2 bedroom corner room which was the size of an apartment, great for friends and family traveling together. It was also affordable for our dog to stay. Continental breakfast was very good - biscuits and gravy were top notch. Pool and hot tub were nice too, amd open later than usual which was nice
