I didn’t stay and I’m requesting my money back. They falsely advertised to be pet friendly but it was not, and they wouldn’t check me in.

“Not expecting all the bells & whistles, but do expect basic safety”

It was a place to sleep that was close to the base for graduation ceremony. Two rooms were reserved: one double and one king. The hotel front door was locked like it was Ft. Knox; I had to pick up a wall phone and dial 0 to get a person to the outdoor window. I waited 20 min outside, after midnight, to be given the key to the 1‑double room. When I asked about the second room, they insisted there was only one reservation in my name, one room with two beds. The manager on the phone wanted to argue the same; I had to show the reservation confirmation showing two rooms, yet they still wanted to argue. I went to “look again” and took another 10 min before “finding” the reservation and being given keys to two rooms. The door to enter from the parking lot (with keypad) was either not actually locked or the lock was broken. The place was under renovation with construction materials everywhere, with no mention anywhere on the site of that status. They claimed to be 100 % non‑smoking, but it reeked of stale cigarette smoke with an underlying odor of marijuana and mildew. The linens were threadbare and had burn holes. The hot and cold water lines were reversed in one room. The door to the double room was not hung square and had to be manhandled to close; it was also slightly damaged. The bathroom door in the king room was not square and didn’t close completely; the door in the king room was missing the safety latch. The breakfast that was supposed to be included consisted of a banana bunch at the front desk and was offered as checking out; otherwise it was unavailable.

Nothing; there’s dust in the hallway that made my allergies flare up, and it wasn’t clean enough for me. Nun.
