Friendly reception by Merel & Peter, a private entrance, plenty of parking space, and a beautiful rural, quiet setting. Although we were on a road trip, there was plenty to see nearby, especially for those interested in D‑Day and WWII history. We definitely plan to return for a longer stay to visit the sights.

Very quiet spot, the room was quite spacious. Even though the bedding was very soft, we slept well. The staircase to the room is a real problem (an extremely narrow spiral); the listing doesn’t mention that access is impossible with a medium or large suitcase or for people who might have mobility issues. That detail should be included in the description. The entry area with the spiral feels more like a storage room than a dining space. The outdoor table was missing when we arrived; a car was parked there instead. The stay was acceptable but too expensive for the amenities offered.

The environment was calm and the welcome was warm. The bedding was too low and too soft, the sheets were synthetic, the bathroom lighting was poor, access required a tiny, awkward spiral staircase, and breakfast was basic.
