“We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Lake District,”
We loved the excellent service and the location. The staff were very friendly and offered us advice on how to get around. The basement room had a musty smell and offered little view.
“Okay except”
The location was great, but the payment process was a hassle. One of our group members was overcharged at the start, which took a lot of negotiation to fix, and after we left £135 was still deducted from our account, requiring significant effort to recover.

The deck is beautiful, what a charming field it is. Lovely and well kept.

The hotel sits in a fantastic spot in Bowness, just a stone's throw from the pier. Shops, cafés and restaurants are all close by. We stayed in a huge junior suite with gorgeous lake views. Breakfast was very good. Our room was on the second floor and there was no lift. With a family and a wife with health problems, it would have been better to know this earlier. Parking on the premises was very limited.
