The bed had a metal plate that would bang or gong every time we sat down or rolled over. The pillows were so flat, but I asked for more and got two that were much better. The ice machine was in another building, so we didn’t use that.

The rooms were spacious and the color scheme was pleasant, so overall it was just okay. The card reader on my door was finicky; the staff member blamed me for the malfunction even after he tried it, but then told me to use it slowly—he seemed to have been at a hotel before, thank you. The Adirondack Park was the main draw, and after a 7‑mile hike it was a relief, but the building’s hallway was unlocked 24/7, so as a solo traveler I didn’t feel safe.

The location was good for the fair down the road, and the manager was very nice and friendly; we liked our balcony. However, the toilet in our room didn’t flush properly, it was a bit loud when other rooms were showering, and the air conditioner was loud as well.
