“Comfortable very convenient hotel with great customer service in the heart of central Stockholm”

The Diplomat feels like a classic, small and selective hotel. Its location is perfect, with everything just a short walk or ferry ride away. We didn’t dine at the hotel, but the tiny café inside offers open sandwich and pastry options that are just right. There simply aren’t many other facilities.

“Correct grâce à cette fantastique réceptionniste qui nous a upgradé autrement catastrophique.”

The view from the suite we were upgraded to was really nice. The breakfast was rather decent. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. The first room we got had a stale smell and was ridiculously small for the price. During breakfast, the lady forced us to sit at a dirty table, and on top of that the floor was dirty and sticky, which my wife’s Chanel shoes didn’t appreciate much.

“Grand Hotel vibes with some room for improvement”

This spot truly captures the old Grand Hotel Charme vibe: a waterside setting, beautiful architecture and décor, and a traditional sense of luxury. I snagged an amazing rate for the night, enjoyed a comfy room and a delicious breakfast, making it a delightful stay overall. However, for a 5‑star property the service felt surprisingly distant and not very efficient, especially around breakfast and the bar. In my room category, the bathroom was inexplicably small.
