“Comfortable stay right next to a waterway.”
The spot is close to the Nedumudy ferry jetty, and the owner and staff were friendly, with decent food. The only hiccup was that credit cards weren’t accepted, so the payment process dragged on.

I usually skip reviews, but felt compelled to write one to counter some recent negative feedback that seemed off. Our group enjoyed a pleasant stay; the rooms were excellent and the garden and canal views were breathtaking. The vibe was relaxed, yet extra activities were available if requested. The property’s isolation means you might want to bring anything you need for special requirements. Food and drinks can be arranged through the host, just set clear expectations. The Wi‑Fi coverage could use improvement, but it’s still usable depending on where you are.

The location is nice, though a very small road makes access a bit tricky. A rating of 1 should not be given lightly, so here’s why: upon arrival the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned and the shower only offered lukewarm water; the bed was a wooden plank with a thin mattress and the linens didn’t smell fresh; the night’s rest was frequently disturbed by a crowing rooster; the air‑conditioning often stopped working while wall outlets remained available; we were told to dine and breakfast at a small table in the hallway outside the room, not at the large table with scenic view, which was reserved for a group. This isn’t how a homestay should operate, especially when interacting with other guests—breakfast was below standard; the fruit platter was okay, but the “vegetarian curry” was a greyish soup that tasted bad. Because of this we left after one night instead of the booked three. Mr. Rajeev Thomas seemed only slightly interested in our comments and more focused on collecting his full payment for three nights; the initial friendliness vanished. On top of that he charged Rs 1000 per person for a mediocre dinner that would have cost less than half that amount in a mediocre restaurant, and one of us fell ill. In comparison: in Fort Kochi we stayed in a homestay for one third of the price per day with more friendly hosts and much better food; in Alleppey we moved to Sterling Lake Palace, which was 1.5 times more expensive but 10 times better.

Ambience inside the property is good. 1. Difficult for car to go the property, very narrow and muddy road 2. Host - Mr Rajeev had mentioned about 15 cars could be parked, but we found it hard to park 1 car 3. Attitude of the Host - Mr Rajeev wasn't great, had a small verbal fight with my sister when she was alone 4. The concierge/staff boy did not collect all the bags from the car and we had to do 5. No lights outside the property as it was super dark to navigate outside

The stay at Pamba Heritage was very good; everything was fine with the helpful staff and Mr. Rajiv, a good host. They served fresh and hot food all the time and it was reasonably priced. Thanks.
