The spot is strategically placed near the Ballaró market and easy to walk around. The host let us leave our luggage in the building before check‑in because we arrived early. Highly recommended.

The apartment was nice and fully equipped, close to Ballarò and only five minutes from the center.

The location is great, right in the historic Ballarò market! All sights are reachable on foot. The host was very friendly, kind, and helpful. We could park our car for free in front of the house all the time. However, if you arrive on Sunday (the only day you can come from Sardinia by ferry to Sicily), it’s hard to drive into the area because of the market, let alone find a free spot. We did leave the car a few hundred meters away and parked in front of the house the next day. The market can feel chaotic to first‑time visitors, but we were pleasantly surprised and found it atmospheric. The apartment is spacious, very tidy and clean, with a separate air‑conditioner in the living‑kitchen and another in the bedroom. We were quite satisfied!

The apartment was very central, a 15‑minute walk to the main train station, and the Ballarò market starts just two streets over. It’s very clean, nicely furnished, practical, and has everything you need for a few days.

I only liked two things – it’s very close to the center and the apartment is clean and recently renovated. The property is rated over 9, but this place is definitely NOT superb!!! It might be exceptional only for the drunk, degraded homeless in front of the building! The only exceptional thing is the feeling that you never have to leave again. The neighbour is probably the worst in Sicily, no matter how close it is to the Norman Palace. You can hear all the neighbours in the building: the one above moving furniture, the one arguing in front of the door. If you can rent it for less than 20 eur per night, it might be a reasonable compromise. For 50‑60 eur it’s a massive mistake.
