“A place that feels like home in the heart of Tuscany”
I keep coming back to Agriturismo Villino del Grillo, and this was my third visit. The moment I stepped in, the place felt peaceful, authentic, and incredibly relaxing. Giovanni and Sylvia treat guests like friends rather than customers, and the house is always spotless, comfortable, and cared for with genuine love and attention to detail. I leave with wonderful memories and already planning my next trip. Thank you, Giovanni and Sylvia, for creating such a special place. See you again!
The rooms are clean and the owners are kind and professional. The short (about 700 metre) municipal road to S. Gimignano has poor maintenance.

I found everything I was looking for when traveling in Italy: a place that feels like my own home and lets me live like a local. Villino del Grillo gave me that sensation. I was never short of anything: the accommodation is perfectly equipped with high‑quality, abundant items (dishware, cutlery, pots, air fryer, coffee machine, moka pots, etc.). The building is healthy, the materials are top quality (tiles, faience, wooden beams, etc.). The woodwork on doors and windows is truly a jewel of quality, solidity, and authenticity. Everything was meticulously placed, and it’s truly beautiful work by professionals. I loved the living room where I could cook excellent local products found just a few kilometers away. There is also a fireplace. The bedroom is very spacious with a large storage area (wardrobe, drawers) and the bedding is extremely comfortable! The bathroom is very functional, with a washing machine as well. Everything was extremely clean (special thanks to the lady who cleans and is very friendly). Outside, there is a lovely private space, no sightlines (a small garden with two lounge chairs and in front of the kitchen, a table for sun‑drenched lunches). What can I say about Sylvia, Giovanni, and the adorable Mamma di Giovanni? They are lovely, helpful, endearing, benevolent, extremely available: it feels like I’ve known them forever! What a joy to be received by such kind people. In conclusion, my stay was perfect in every way, from the first to the last day, not forgetting the welcome gift (local wine and family‑farm eggs). I wanted to see Tuscany from postcards, but I also saw Tuscany from the locals.
The little house is very welcoming. The owners are very kind and available. It’s the ideal place to rest and enjoy a beautiful vacation in lovely surroundings.
