The location was great for Yosemite with easy parking, and the guy at reception was helpful, though he was the only useful person. Complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise with bagels, fruit, etc. The room next to reception/shop/kitchen was noisy. Restaurant service was terrible; the food was okay, but the $45 halibut was the smallest fillet I’ve ever seen. The bar wasn’t well stocked.

The location was very good—easy drive into the park and quiet. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was very good; we ate there both nights. The property is older but well maintained; some furnishings could use updating. We had a large bureau in our room that was useless, and a luggage rack would have been a better use of the space.

I didn't anticipate a full breakfast spread, but the friendly staff still offered a decent selection of items. Everyone was helpful and the setting was gorgeous and tranquil, especially the view of the railroad.

We usually skip breakfast, so I wasn’t sure what was available. The hotel was about a 15‑minute drive from any shops, and if I’d known that earlier I’d have chosen a place closer to shopping. 1. I wish there were long‑term accommodations for guests like us staying five nights; our room lacked a wardrobe and a small table for our belongings. 2. The curtain on the window has a bottom gap on the right side, so we had to use the restaurant menu and other magazines to block it each night for privacy. 3. The shower’s extended arm valves splash a lot of water, making it hard to shower with my eyes open the first night; my husband wrapped a plastic bag around the valves, which now lets the water leak instead of splash. 4. Whenever we stepped out of the shower, water leaked under the door and soaked the floor towel, which never dried during our stay. These issues were specific to our room; others might not have the same problems. Aside from that, the place was very quiet and we appreciated our room. I would have liked a clock, but that’s a minor detail.
