The Sheraton Columbia Downtown Hotel is situated in downtown Columbia, 17 km from the University of South Carolina. The hotel features a 24-hour fitness centre, full-service restaurant, and rooftop lounge with downtown views. Rooms include flat-screen TVs, work desks, and coffee makers. The Columbia Museum of Art is a 3-minute walk away, and Edventure Children's Museum is 1.5 miles away.

The room size and equipment, as well as the location and friendly staff, were great, and there was nothing negative.

The location was perfect for the purpose of our trip, but the hallways looked very unkept and dated, and the carpet was in bad shape. The hue of the lights did not match and made the lighting very unbalanced, and the main light in the bedroom was right by the door, making half of the room much darker.

The proximity to the arena was good, but the bathroom sink was broken and the TV volume would randomly go out and not come back on.

The hotel was in a great location, but the lobby was not much of a lobby. The bar on the roof is not half bad. The rooms are OK, a little dated but OK, and it is clean, which is a plus. I didn’t see any particular restaurant in the hotel if you wanted to grab something quick. The valet gets very overwhelmed and we ended up waiting for a car for over half an hour one day.
