“No customer service at all”

The bed was comfortable, but I had called a few days before and asked for a ground‑floor room because my husband has a bad hip; when I checked in I was not given one, and when I asked if it could be changed she said no and wouldn’t move it. There is no elevator, and I could see that the hotel wasn’t full and ground‑floor rooms were still available, yet she simply didn’t want to accommodate me.

The room was very clean and close to the highway, but it was noisy—not from parties, but because it was easy to hear people walking and moving on the floors above.
