Nice place, more like a lodging unit than a private hotel, good service, but the shower fan was a bit broken and disappointing. The location is really good, close to the old city, the synagogue, and Kavu.

“Horrible”

This place isn’t a hotel; it’s a hostel. The noise was so loud we couldn’t sleep. There was no reception at night. We complained a lot and called the manager Mike George ten times in the morning, but he never answered. Only after checkout did he pick up the phone and say he would call us the next day, but he didn’t. When we called him back he put us on hold and never picked up. We paid £220 for a night. It’s unbelievable. We went to the police for being robbed and are still waiting for charges as we received no refund. Our whole stay in Jerusalem was ruined for us and the kids.

A dream. An absolute gem in the old city.

The location is good; most of what we needed to do in Tzfat was within a 15‑minute walk—or less—from the hotel. A free petting zoo is only a 3‑minute walk away, which our kids loved. The staff helped us at all times and brought my wife headache pills when she wasn’t feeling well; they were very kind and personal, and they let us check out an hour late. There’s a charming swimming pool and a very bubbly Jacuzzi under a starry sky; we used the Jacuzzi—though it needs to be hotter, we give it 10/10 for bubbles! The room is a charming old cave with arches, very historical and cozy if that style appeals to you, and there’s a nice lobby‑sitting area as well. The street itself is a long, winding back‑alley and we were sure we were lost until we actually saw the hotel. There is no breakfast included, and there’s no option to pay extra for breakfast. The room has no windows, no natural light (but that also gave it a cool “cave” feel and made for a nice dark sleep). My wife complained that her lower back hurt after sleeping on the bed, saying it was an uncomfortable mattress; I didn’t have that problem but slept on a different mattress on the couch (pull‑out). When our towels or bathing suits were wet, there was no outdoor place to hang them, so things dried very slowly in that room.

We only liked the location because it was in the heart of the Old City. The disappointment was huge – the reality didn’t match the advertisement at all, and the hospitality was far below what the site described. The property is marketed as a “luxury suite,” yet the room looked more like a basic hostel. The photos on the website didn’t reflect what we actually received. Also, the site didn’t say the place was for the religious sector, so we were shocked to find no TV in the room, a crucial detail that should have been mentioned, especially for a high price. The sofa in the lounge was small and uncomfortable, definitely not suitable for sleeping. A week before arrival I contacted the owners and explicitly asked about the sofa; they claimed their sofas were the largest and most comfortable for sleeping. In reality, my elderly mother couldn’t sleep on it during the two nights we stayed. The high price was completely unjustified given the level of service and the room we got. The website’s portrayal created an expectation of a luxurious spot, while the reality was very different. Unfortunately, we don’t recommend this place and won’t return.
