Good, reasonably priced hotel in Bergen. I really liked the spot. A 25‑minute walk gets you to the city centre. There’s a tram stop and a shop nearby. The room isn’t big, but it’s cosy. The bathroom is excellent. On the first floor you can make tea or coffee, and there’s a fridge and a microwave.

I paid for a stay that only gave me a bed, a toilet that works, and a roof. The breakfast, outsourced to Hangry Hub downstairs, was awful—both in taste and in cleanliness. I had to flip through several mugs before finding one that looked clean enough. For an extra charge, the “breakfast” was completely unacceptable. The room itself was lacking basic items: no toilet paper, no shower gel, no shampoo, no kettle, no mugs, no complimentary tea or coffee, and no TV. Citybox markets itself as a no‑frills place, but there’s a difference between minimalism and providing nothing. I’ve stayed in student housing that was better equipped. If you only want a bed and nothing else, this might work, but for a hotel priced and advertised as such, the experience was terrible. I won’t return or recommend it.

I was close to where I needed to be, but there was no TV and no fitness room.

Being close to the tram that goes to the centre was handy and the facilities were fine. There was no shared kitchen, only a microwave.
