The facilities and service were excellent! The room and its cleanliness were impeccable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unlike other places with insects and odors in the rooms, there was none here. Everything was perfect. It’s a bit far from the center but reachable; Beijing is huge. Sometimes there’s a slight tobacco smell at the entrance, but that’s a cultural thing. There’s no elevator, something to keep in mind.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel’s facilities were reasonable for the price. However, from the moment I stepped into the reception, it was obvious that cigarettes were being smoked inside the lobby, and a man—probably a client—was smoking right there. A smoker’s ashtray greeted me immediately. Most rooms face the street, which is a terrible source of noise because the hotel entrance is right next to it. Guests also smoke in the rooms, and the odor drifts straight through the windows. Compared to the hotel, local garages and a street vegetable shop have been making a racket since early morning, so don’t expect to sleep well. Consider this place only as a low‑budget option; I definitely don’t recommend it, as you’ll find better value elsewhere. The metro stop is about a 10‑minute walk (Line 5).

The hotel sits four blocks from Liujiayao subway station, making city travel convenient for me. My bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log. A free TV with interesting Chinese channels was provided. The toilet was awesome, heated and self‑flushing. Every morning I enjoyed a lovely rain shower with plenty of hot water, and bottled water was supplied daily. The room was small and didn’t allow a small desk. The hotel was hard to locate because it’s slightly off the road of its address and the sign read “Grand Dream Hotel” (English for Meng Hao). A man on the street helped me find it.

Good hotel, price/quality. Staff polite and speak English. Rooms clean, comfortable bed, kettle available, towels changed daily, and water is brought in. Five minutes on foot to the metro, with many cafés and small shops around.
