Hotel Condes de Barcelona occupies a 19th-century building on Passeig de Gracia, featuring a seasonal rooftop pool, terrace, gym, and sauna. Soundproofed rooms have air conditioning, LCD satellite TV, and laptop safes, with views of Passeig de Gracia or Eixample courtyard. The hotel boasts an elegant rooftop bar with wonderful views, and is 100m from Gaudi's La Pedrera and 200m from Passeig de Gracia Train Station.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and once the renovation is finished it will definitely be a great option for staying in Barcelona, but the hotel was in a general overhaul and, besides a few rooms and a temporary reception, everything else was shut down during my stay (common areas, terrace, pool, bar, and rooftop restaurant). Access to the hotel was only through side doors with makeshift stairs to the first floor, the only entrance available to guests, where a provisional reception was set up. What bothered me most was that I received no information about this from either the booking or the hotel itself; otherwise I wouldn't have chosen this place. The price also did not reflect the inconveniences and restrictions caused by the ongoing general renovation.

The location was convenient, but there was a strong street smell and noise.

The location was fine, but the kettle wasn’t working, the intercom was broken so I couldn’t call housekeeping or reception, the night light stayed on all night, I had to put a pillow in front, work was going on in the hotel so only one lift was operational, and water tea bags were not replaced.
