“安いけど、、、”

It was cheap, the sink and bath were spacious (though shared). The room was dusty, the futon was dirty, and insects appeared.

The sheets had hair and pubic hair on them, and they hadn’t been changed; the lighting fixtures were full of dead insects; the whole facility was saturated with cigarette smell. Even though the price is low, basic cleaning is required, and there’s no room for improvement, so you’ll need to be prepared if you decide to stay.

The owner was friendly, and the futon and pillow were soft. The room was spacious and even the Japanese-style dormitory felt quiet. However, the bathroom was shared, so be prepared for that; it’s a Japanese-style shared bathroom with only two toilets, one for men and one for women. The plugs in the room made it hard to plug my multi-pin charger, and when it rained, the parking area got wet.

“Séjour passable bien que décevant en tant que femme.”

The room was roomy, and a washing machine was available, but you’d have to pay 100Y to use it. We were welcomed, although the owner didn’t speak enough Japanese and didn’t speak English. The mildew smell in the room was hard to stand, and we weren’t allowed to dry our laundry at 20h (the limit was 22h) because it supposedly made noise, so we had to lay our clothes in the room, worsening the damp odor. We paid a local tax for onsens but couldn’t use them; the onsen is only available to men, so the hotel seems aimed at a male clientele. If you’re a woman, the stay won’t be pleasant. We stayed for 2 days, but it wasn’t worth it.
