“Total aus der Zeit gefallen”

The hotel felt totally out of date. A touch of nostalgia is charming, but this place has none; it’s just old and the service is stuck in the past. The room assigned to me was in dire need of renovation. The carpet was terribly dirty and the room smelled musty. Breakfast was minimal: two rolls, a small platter of cold cuts (wurst on cheese), a boiled egg (no choice), and mediocre coffee at the assigned table. There was a mini‑buffet with canned fruit salad, yogurt, and some jam—no fresh fruit or vegetables. Sure, you’re asked if you want more, and if you look kindly, the attempt to avoid food waste might be behind it. Overall, it’s impossible for the room price.

The steak at the restaurant was delicious, and the historic charm and character of the place made the whole dining experience feel really special.

The location is close to the supermarket and petrol station, the staff are extremely friendly, and there is a motorcycle parking spot. The breakfast is good, and I appreciated that there was no background music, not even from a private radio. The mattress was a bit saggy, and the rooms on the street side were noisy with traffic, farm equipment, and trucks when the window was tilted open. Next time I’d prefer a room on the courtyard side.

“Schöner Zwischenstop bei einer Fahrradtour durchs Münsterland”

The staff member Frau Witte was very friendly and helpful. There is an electric charging station with parking that can also be locked overnight, which I liked a lot. Breakfast was excellent, the location is central and works well for overnight stays on bike tours. The rooms are fine, they’re in a rustic 80/90s style and haven’t been updated in a while, but everything is clean and tidy. I felt very comfortable.

“Nice, dated hotel”

The room was spacious and the staff were charming and helpful. Breakfast was good and the evening meal was nice. Everything seemed to work fine, except for a single faulty light bulb. There was plenty of parking on site. The room and bathroom looked as if they were decorated and furnished in the 1970s, but everything worked well, and the middle‑aged shower was surprisingly excellent.
