The lodging is on the Mon village side, right by the water. The host, P.P. Y., is incredibly sweet, gives great advice, and handles everything for you. If you have a car it’s more convenient, but if not she will arrange a reasonably priced taxi. In the morning she offers congee and coffee. If you want to go sightseeing she can arrange a boat, set the time and price. The room rate does not include the traditional Mon robe for the morning alms‑tending; if you want that, you can add 100 THB per person. She will prepare the robe and alms‑tending items and even help you take photos while you’re dressed. The setting is calm and overall it’s okay. The only downside is the mosquitoes; a few fly in as soon as you open the door and they can be a nuisance at night.
