Location. The room is very small and the bathroom lacks privacy; it’s fine with a partner but not as good with friends.

The hostel sits in a convenient spot, but the walls are so thin that if the neighbors get loud, it can disturb sleep, even though the building itself shields street noise.

It was exactly what I needed—small but functional. The shower worked, the toilet was clean, a mirror was present, and the lady at reception was absolutely lovely. I wanted to return, but the place was sold out. Its proximity to the metro and Myongdong Street makes it a great spot I’d recommend, though the bed felt a bit hard, yet I still managed to sleep.

The location was good, but I arrived late for check‑in because I struggled to locate the address; having it in Korean for Naver Map would have helped. When I got there, no one was present, which I understand, yet no email instructions explained that my key was left on the counter. I tried calling the listed number but couldn’t reach anyone; another guest eventually assisted me. I’d emailed the host for a Korean address and only received a reply two days later. I explained I’d already called, but a sticker partially covered the number, preventing contact; the host then tested the number in front of me and it worked, though his tone was unpleasant. Inside, towels were tiny. The next morning, reception remained closed until 9 am or 9:30 am. The room info claimed the washing machine was free, but after two nights and no host updates, I tried using it and was shouted at, told I had to pay, and told I could instead grab fresh towels from the self‑service area in the corridor, like the toilet paper. I wish I’d known this earlier. Because of my complaint, the host said late check‑in would no longer be possible. A clear email with instructions would have resolved all these issues. When guests arrive and no one is present, at minimum clear info on check‑in, towels, washing machine, and availability should be provided. It’s a shame because the accommodation is very well located.
