“Possible, but unacceptable cleanliness and shower problems.”
The spot was great—close to downtown, restaurants, shops, and sights, and breakfast was good for the price we paid for a two‑night, three‑person stay; check‑in and check‑out went smoothly, and the room was spacious, quiet, well‑ventilated, and at a pleasant temperature with working air conditioning, Wi‑Fi, TV, and other amenities, and the woman who greeted us was very kind and helpful, which I appreciate given the demands of running a family business. On the downside, the room and bathroom looked old, the sheets didn’t seem clean, the towels were worn, and the floors were dark; the common areas didn’t feel like a well‑maintained hotel and there was no elevator. The worst part was finding cigarette butts, underwear, and socks under the beds, indicating a lack of proper cleaning, and the shower’s temperature fluctuated wildly between hot and cold with low pressure, making a comfortable shower impossible; these hygiene and bathroom problems really hurt the experience. The staff interaction was mixed: the woman was friendly, but I didn’t feel the same about her husband, and seeing very young children apparently doing cleaning and service tasks made me uneasy, which raised concerns for me. I know life is hard and running a family business isn’t easy, but guests also work hard for their holidays and deserve clean rooms, proper hygiene, and basic comfort.
