“It was short and sweet and perfect for our plan to visit the sources of the Donau.”
The hotel was very accommodating given our late arrival; we skipped breakfast, but the staff offered to prepare a dinner for us to pick up later. They explained how to get drinks and everything was relaxed. In the morning we had a pleasant chat with the hostess, Katharina, about holidays in our countries and shared ideas about special spots in the UK. Nothing to dislike.
The setting is very quiet, a perfect spot to unwind in nature, and the beds were very comfortable for us. The rooms, however, lack good sound insulation, so you could hear everything from the neighboring apartments.

Close to the Danube spring, the dinner was good, breakfast featured local products, and the attic offered a wonderful view. Nearby there are trekking routes. We stayed in May. There were no mosquito nets, even though the area is full of daytime and nighttime insects. As soon as we opened the window, many insects flew in. There was no air conditioning, the attic was excessively hot, and it was hard to sleep.

In absolute peace surrounded by nature, the stars are still visible at night. The rooms were nice and it felt like a lovely short holiday. We would come back if the beer garden and restaurant were open. The restaurant was closed and wasn’t properly advertised. Because the place is so remote, we had to drive far for food. The fridge was broken and still full of drinks from the previous guest, and the room wasn’t cleaned.

The location is excellent, away from everything, calm and cool in the evenings. Just stepping outside the property starts a walk in full nature. The room (actually a small suite) is spacious and well equipped. The staff were very helpful, always attentive, whether for meals or recharging our electric bikes. It was a truly relaxing long weekend, exactly what we were looking for. The only downside was that the price of drinks available in the room was higher than the price at the vending machine on the reception area, which is for visitors, even non‑guests.
