The stay was flawless and the spot is gorgeous. The host was delightful, guided us through the house and grounds, and let us try some gin—so relaxing, I wish I could have stayed longer!

“The most tranquil stay I have ever had”

Trish, the host, was amazing! She was a pleasure to chat with before arrival, everything was crystal clear, and she let us check in a bit early. She met us on arrival, gave a full tour, and was incredibly warm and welcoming—she even offered flowers from her lovely garden to take home. The food was gorgeous; she baked a fresh loaf of bread that was delicious and smelled wonderful, and the fresh plums were the best I’ve had all season. The accommodation was beautiful, spacious, clean, and well cared for; the kitchen had everything you could want or need. We booked a pre‑wedding stay and were able to stream the bridesmaids the night before, which was amazing! The wider property was BEAUTIFUL: sheep, lavender fields, city views, sunsets, lemon trees, ALPACAS! I can’t recommend this place more for a pre‑wedding or getting‑ready stay. Can’t fault a single thing!

“Warm, cosy and well equipped.😄”

Privacy and a beautiful outlook. Trish was very helpful and hospitable. We enjoyed the gin tour, and the food left in the fridge for our breakfasts was delicious. Easy Uber into Riverhead too.

“10/10 - A Hidden Gem! Top-tier farm-stay in the world!”

This was one of the most heartwarming stays we’ve ever had! Lavender Hill and the farm are beautiful and peaceful, a true escape from busy Auckland. What made it special was the host, Trish, who is incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful in every way. From the warm greetings to the farm tour and the little touches throughout our stay, you can tell they genuinely care. The happy animals (lovely sheep and alpacas), rolling fields, fresh air, cozy accommodations, and rustic charm that’s hard to find nowadays—all were perfect! If you want a peaceful getaway with top‑tier hospitality in comfort and peace, look no further. This farm stay was an absolute dream. Pure joy from start to finish… We can’t wait to come back. Highly, highly recommended! We didn’t want to leave.
