The staff were friendly, but I was assigned a room with a strong cigarette smell, and the bathroom had no entrance door (other rooms did).

I was lucky to get a WOW Pass, which made everything easy, but the whole place smelled awful. The water pressure was decent, yet toilet paper wouldn’t flush, and the odor was just unbearable.

The hotel sits right next to a bus stop, MRT, and a convenience store, so we could leave our luggage (a standard hotel practice) and wander the town. A few front‑desk staff were polite, but not all of them were. We chose not to check in early because they charged by the hour—though the fee wasn’t huge—unlike other 5‑ and 4‑star hotels in Singapore, Malaysia, and the U.S. that let us arrive 2‑3 hours early without extra cost. Housekeeping never vacuumed the carpeted floors, and the bathroom lacked a proper door, only a cubicle door for each shower and toilet. The safe box was unreliable; we had to call maintenance to retrieve our valuables.
