The privacy was absolute, the Mai Khao beach was stunning (even though swimming was restricted because of weather), and the staff were ultra‑welcoming. My wife and I chose Mai Khao for a quiet retreat, so Sala was perfect, but families or couples who want easy access to shopping or lively restaurants might rely on the free shuttle service, which was quite frequent.

I loved the villa I stayed in; it was a great setup. All the staff were really friendly and always helpful, and the food was great. The only issue was that the villas have outdoor toilets, which is a problem at night if you need to go frequently.
