We enjoyed our time at Griya Santrian; the rooms are lovely, the gardens beautiful, and the location is great with many warungs, shops nearby, and Icon Mall just a 5‑minute walk. Ongoing building work for the new beachside restaurant and pool bar didn’t affect our stay, and we’ll return. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, which was fine; drink prices were on the pricey side (for Bali) after taxes, but there are plenty of bars close by.

We always enjoy staying at the Griya; the location is great, the food good, and the staff go above and beyond. Currently, renovations make the main pool area feel quite small, and like most resorts, there are selfish guests who put their towels on chairs as soon as the sun rises.

The garden is well maintained, spacious, and tasteful, and the location is directly on the beach. Rooms aren’t up to date; to charge a phone you have to do it in the bathroom or unplug the bedside lamp. The breakfast staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, though that might just contrast with the otherwise excellent service typical of Bali. Part of the garden was a construction site, but it was almost completely shielded, so it was acceptable.
