The hosts were kind and attentive, always ready to improve the stay, creating a pleasant and family‑like atmosphere. Breakfast is the only service offered, and the lady LICY adds a special touch.

The hospitality of Mrs. Licy and Charles made me feel pampered and at home. Breakfast was superb, lovingly prepared by Mrs. Licy: daily coffee, milk, yogurt, cereals, a fruit plate, a slice of homemade cake, and a different dish each day—eggs, arepa, bread, or something else. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the atmosphere authentic and relaxing. Charles could arrange tours and motorbike rentals, and the restaurant stayed open on weekends. Wi‑Fi didn’t work well. It’s a bit far from the center, but moving around was easy with the motorbike or the taxi service offered by Charles.

The accommodation is great. It’s a bit farther from the center than others, but that’s part of its charm. Other places are truly bad, not to mention their surroundings. The best part is the staff, both Licy and Charles—excellent. Breakfast is simply spectacular; I’ve stayed at hotels with buffets that didn’t compare. Breakfast is a 10, and the service is also a 10. From the moment you arrive, they help with everything—excursions, what to do, when and where, mobility, where to eat, or what to order, and they gladly assist with anything else you need. They also have unique touches you won’t find elsewhere. The next day after arrival, Charles gave us coconut and coconut water, even though it wasn’t required—just a gesture of hospitality. Here in San Andrés everything is close, so the location isn’t a drawback for this lovely inn. If you want to party, head to the center in the evening. But for rest, you’ll want a quiet, beautiful, well‑kept environment.

Miss Licy is a one‑of‑a‑kind host and cook. Charles is a fountain of knowledge and extremely helpful. The facilities were clean, well maintained, attractive, and comfortable. The highlight was the food—ask Miss Licy nicely to cook for you; she’s a master of the San Andrés version of Western Caribbean Creole cuisine—and the personal attention from both her and her son Charles. The Posada Licy offers beautiful Caribbean views from most rooms; those not facing the sea look out onto her huge, well‑kept garden, which is full of flowers and hummingbirds and an impressive array of tropical fruits native to this Caribbean region, some of which you can sample if you ask nicely. Wi‑Fi was available throughout the facility but could have been stronger in the back rooms.

The owners are incredibly friendly and the accommodation turned out to be very satisfying; the house is beautiful and full of interesting décor. One room had a shower that didn’t work, but the next day we were given a different room and the issue was handled very well, so it wasn’t a major problem.
