The location was close to the historic center. The breakfasts were very simple; they could improve by offering more than one option and varying them daily.

The location was exceptional, close to Plaza Grande, Panecillo, San Francisco metro station, several restaurants, and churches. The reception staff was unsatisfactory. On Friday 25/09/26 I booked this place two days before arrival, sent a message saying I would arrive around 7‑8 am because my flight was early, we were two adults and a 7‑year‑old child, and all we wanted was to get into the room and rest. I never received a reply. The day before I called to confirm, and they told me that arriving before the set time would cost $30.00, but the person handling it didn’t know the policy well. I still said it might be a mistake and it would be less. The cost turned out to be $40.00 for using the room before the specified time, which seemed insane. The room I booked was a triple with a double bed and a "plaza y media" bed. Despite being exhausted, we didn’t pay, decided to leave the discomfort, and walked around Plaza Grande for breakfast. When we returned, we had to change in the bathroom near the reception, and while that was happening, other guests asked about rooms. The staff told them the check‑in was from 1 pm, but they still let them use the room. I was outraged. How could they allow unreserved guests to use the room? The answer was that the staff said they could access the room, meaning they waited for us to change in the reception bathroom. Terrible! When we finally went into the room, the surprise was three single beds, and the reply was that those were the ones available… So if I paid the $40, was the room I booked not available? They didn’t answer, which felt like total abuse. The hostel has a great location, close to everything, and the young staff member who took over the shift was very different from the one who received us, super attentive, and even won my son’s affection. That’s why we stayed the next night because I was really looking for another accommodation just as close, if there were any.

Plaza Grande is within walking distance, the staff is helpful, and breakfast is good. The wardrobe in the bathroom reduces the already small space.

Everything was great, especially the cleanliness.

The bathroom, the proximity to everything, and the terrace view were all good, yet I found small curly hairs on the pillow, the breakfast shown in the photo differed from what was served—no fruit with the granola, and the staff said fruit was no longer offered. Foreign guests received friendlier service than locals, and the curtains didn't close completely, so you had to get creative to ensure privacy.
