The Crown & Horns, a 1700s-built country pub, offers a charming stay in East Ilsley. Its attached hotel features a newer building with a central patio area. The pub's characterful bar serves traditional ales, while the intimate restaurant provides freshly cooked meals. The hotel's unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort makes it an ideal rural retreat.

Rooms were well appointed and the daily fresh cookie was a nice touch. Breakfast didn't start until 0730 which was often too late for our work requirements

The old pub was great, especially in the evening when the food was excellent. The facilities were impressive, with containers of milk and bottles of cold water readily available, plus a wide selection of high‑quality teabags and coffee.

The booking and check‑in process were easy. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for a walking trip on the Ridgeway long distance path. However, it wasn’t clear how to get milk for drinks in the room; once the system was explained, it was very easy to use.
