The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect for making daily forays in every direction before heading back to bed. The stay felt too short; you need more than a week to fully explore.

“If it was just my wife and I I would have loved it. But the dog was on alert the whole time and every hallway creak made”

The place is dog friendly, clean, and economical, but it proved troublesome for the dog.

“Basic place”

The property was a good bit out from Thurles, so you would need a car to get back to town. It was evening when we arrived, and we had difficulty finding the house in the dark because the sign was blocked by a lorry. The TV was in the wardrobe, making it hard to view from the other side of the double bed. Other guests were drinking and making a lot of noise in the communal area while we tried to sleep. There was no sign of the owner while we were there, and I asked for extra pillows; he said there were none because the cleaners had the key to the lock up. This was a bit disappointing, as one pillow each was very low support for my neck.
