The location was great, the room was cosy and had everything we needed, including a Nespresso machine and a power shower, the lift helped with the bags, and the extra steps were welcome.

The location is unbeatable, just a short stroll to Dublin south’s main sights like Trinity College, St Steven’s Green, Grafton Street, and plenty of shops and eateries. This small, quiet boutique hotel offered a peaceful, uncrowded breakfast that stayed open longer than usual, and the breakfast staff were very friendly. Front office staff were quick to respond to pre‑arrival requests, especially Carl who was particularly helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily and the AC was excellent—so cool it was almost too cold when I first got in, but I ended up leaving the window open at night to let in fresh air instead. The 4th‑floor rooms and elevator were convenient. I wouldn’t recommend driving in Dublin, but if you must, there seems to be a parking structure next to a shopping mall that might be available. Nothing major to complain about; it’s a bit pricey but comparable to other nearby hotels, and walking saves the hassle and cost of taxis. If you need to hit a specific venue like Kilmainham, I’d suggest booking a taxi the night before and allowing 45 minutes to an hour for travel, especially during rush hour, since taxis can have trouble getting to the hotel and then to the venue.

The Arthaus Hotel sits in a fantastic spot in Dublin, close to Trinity College, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, St Stephens Green, the River Liffey, Dublin Castle, Christ Church, St Patrick's Cathedral, and the Guinness Storehouse, but it can be a little noisy at night if you’re on the street side.
