The resort sits in a gorgeous compound with easy access to the market, Tiger View Point, and Sunset Point by bike. The rooms were a bit warm inside.
“Gem”
I found this gem by chance, as it often happens. The place is stunning, tucked in jungle and nature, with very nice, clean, and comfy rooms that still feel open for mingling with other travelers. The restaurant was good, and I enjoyed the meals. Anil, present and pleasant, was always ready to chat or help. Thank you! I hope to return one day with more time. All the best to you 🙏 I only spent 2 days.
Everything was really nice! The location was perfect, super peaceful, and only a 15‑minute walk to the national park. The staff helped organize the safari and the bus to Kathmandu. Everything was perfect.
“Exceptional experience all round”
The layout of the property was lovely, surrounded by trees and local birds, with hammocks scattered across the grounds. The rooms were comfortable, showers were cool, and the air conditioning worked well. Anil, the owner, and his parents and staff were incredibly friendly and took care of every comfort. Anil arranged an all‑inclusive package that included a full‑day walking safari, a jeep safari, a rafting safari, a night in the watchtower, and a traditional dance performance on the last evening. Papa Jit, Anil’s father, a retired park ranger and avid birdwatcher, joined us on a tour and was a local celebrity among other guides. Together with our guide Arjun, they offered amazing insight into the park’s history and wildlife, helping us spot deer, warthogs, rhinos, elephants, otters, monkeys, mongooses, reptiles, and many birds. The food was exceptional, with chefs making the best roast potatoes in all of Nepal and being very flexible for our western tastes. The only things I would change for next time: we visited after the monsoon, with temperatures up to 38 °C, and we didn’t see a tiger, though Arjun worked hard. The safari days were long, so a lightweight stool, long‑sleeved shirt, and a broad‑brim hat with a neck flap in neutral colours would help with shade and camouflage. The watchtower visit felt rushed, added at the end of a full‑day safari, followed by an early start the next morning for rafting. Spreading the activities over more days, doing a morning safari, resting at the resort during peak heat, and spending the afternoon quietly watching wildlife from the tower would improve the experience. Also, bringing a lightweight sleeping bag liner or sheet would help, as the communal blankets in the tower were a bit grimy.
“Perfect inside Bardiya National Park”
Our group of six stayed at RIVERSIDE VIEW PARK RESORT inside Bardiya National Park, and it was the highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was second to none. The resort itself is a beautiful, peaceful oasis surrounded by a green garden, but what really sets it apart is the incredible team. The staff were polite, kind, and attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect without being intrusive. We were also thoroughly impressed by the food quality; every meal was fresh, flavorful, and served with a genuine smile. It’s rare to find a place where service and surroundings are in such perfect harmony. Highly recommended! We didn’t see anything we didn’t like; everything exceeded our expectations.
