We arrived to find the room we’d booked was a cramped attic space 50 steps up, only a chair and a drawer, clearly not meant for two. The staff quickly swapped us for a first‑floor room at no extra charge, and that room was really comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff were excellent.

The restored chateau is lovely with ocean views, the pool area is nice, and bike storage is secure. However, it’s a 10‑minute walk to town, and the private party that night meant the restaurant was closed and the music was very loud—information that should have been shared beforehand.
