The location was perfect for mountain biking or hiking, but the hotel was very nice, everything was immaculate and the all‑inclusive package was very good.

The wellness area was great; the morning Aquagym in the Infinity pool was superb and the breakfast was one of the best I've had so far, plus the beds were very cozy despite the “old charm.” The room, a former building called Schwarzwald Charme, had broken lighting that made it look abandoned, no kettle, no tea amenities or Smart TV, towels were missing, and we had to re‑screw the shower because the shower head had fallen off—too little for a 4‑star Superior, a shame.

The pools were superb and the breakfast was exceptional, but the Michelin‑starred restaurant wasn’t really up to par—many French guests but no French language on the menu, which is unacceptable for a **** hotel.

The wellness area, especially the beautiful Infinity pool on the roof and the many nice seating areas, plus the rich breakfast buffet with many special highlights, especially the omelette, really pleased us with many loving details. The fitness room only had cardio equipment; a few dumbbells or other strength‑training options would be desirable.
