They’re cutting back on breakfast, so it’s pretty basic. Still, for what I needed it was fine – no fuss, no drama.

The spot’s decent, room was okay. Mary, the host, had a medical emergency so I never met her. Her son was super friendly and handled the check‑in. Breakfast was minimal – just bread, bagels, juice, fruit, coffee or tea. He had to be at work by 8 am on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, then swing by to check on his mom and still be home with his family.

The place is quiet, except for the train that honks loud in the middle of the night. Parking is on the property. Mary does what she can to make the stay pleasant, but she’s older and probably struggles with running the inn. The room was a bit old‑fashioned, but that’s not a huge deal. There are rugs everywhere, which isn’t very hygienic. The tiny bathroom (shower in a tub) is shared with other rooms – we were alone for those two nights – and the shower controls are a bit wobbly.
