The house was gorgeous with lovely gardens and meadows, offering amazing sunset views from the meadow. Host Caroline welcomed us warmly and was friendly. Every detail in the bedrooms and bathrooms was carefully considered, featuring pricey brand shampoos, shower/bath gel, and body lotion for everyone. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with weighty duvets, pillows, and crisply ironed cotton sheets—my best sleep in a long time. Nothing was done cheaply or corners were cut. Breakfast was superb: fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, cereals, nuts, seeds, and a fully cooked breakfast with whatever you wanted. Caroline was the ultimate host, cook, gardener, and more in one person! I can’t recommend it enough. A real treat.

An impeccably maintained property in a quiet setting, with Caroline being the best host who looked after us all weekend.

A meticulously cared‑for structure in every detail where you feel Caroline’s love for the garden, the house, and her guests. Even the tennis court is in perfect condition. The breakfast is exceptional, freshly prepared by the owner. If you’re looking for a place that exudes authentic English warmth, you can’t miss it.

The place feels like a charming blend of old and very old, yet Caroline’s carefully chosen décor makes it feel fresh and stylish. Her love for the gardens shows in the expansive, well‑tended beds of roses and herb borders. She’s incredibly generous, letting guests indulge in a wide selection of drinks and biscuits, and she’s a delight to chat with. We missed the tennis court because the rain halted play, though it’s well resurfaced for future guests. Breakfast was impressive, offering a vast array of options and high quality. Thank you so much, Caroline. Absolutely nothing at all.
