Blakehill House

We were shown the room at check‑in, but for the next three days the owner never appeared again, not even on the last day. She showed no interest in her guests at all. Breakfast was bland and stored in a tiny fridge in the room; there was no common dining area, everyone ate alone. Only instant coffee was available, and if we wanted a proper Irish breakfast we’d have to pay an extra 8 € per person. That’s not what you expect from a Bed and Breakfast. Cleaning didn’t happen daily and the bins were left unemptied. I don’t recommend this place.

The house and room were very cozy, the bathroom was amazing with a bathtub we hadn’t anticipated, and the breakfast served in the room was varied and tasty. Everything was perfect; we definitely recommend it!

“Fabulous can highly recommend.”

The place was spotless. The host was discreet and we had no complaints for her. The continental breakfast in the room was exactly what we wanted, with plenty of options and no cheap compromises. It was restocked for the next night. We didn’t dislike anything!

The surroundings are lovely and it’s very close to the Cong city centre. Cleaning could be better and the owner was distant. She handed us the keys, explained the rules, and… (the rest is missing).

“Lovely short stay but hope to return”

The room and bathroom were very clean. Teresa was very welcoming. Breakfast was good with a good selection.
