There were roaches, so we stayed somewhere else!

Traveling with my husband and two kids, I booked a room with two queen beds, but the keys I got brought me to a room with two double beds. My husband requested a change to the original room, yet he was told a $250 deposit was needed for a queen room because I apparently smelled like smoke at check‑in—though I don’t smoke. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the room looked barely cleaned. We won’t return; it was a waste of money.

This place is a solid, comfortable spot in Gadsden—safe, well‑located, and I’d stay there again. The only drawback is the lighting; it could use more brightness and additional lamps.

I booked a nonsmoking room with two queen beds, but the keys I received led me to a smoking room that had two double beds instead. My husband tried to switch us to the room I originally booked, yet he was told a $250 deposit was required for a queen room because I supposedly smelled like smoke at check‑in—though I don’t smoke at all. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the room seemed barely cleaned. We won’t return; it was a clear waste of money.

The hotel’s proximity to the conference was fine, but the staff were rude and couldn’t remember that I’d paid for an extra day at check‑in. The bed was uncomfortable, and staff would walk in without knocking.
