In Kyoto city, for the price, the hotel had good transport links and was clean. After booking, I was sent a link and didn’t realize that I had to register and check‑in through a dedicated web service, which was confusing. I had planned to go straight to the hotel after booking, but I opened the email on the day and checked it, so there was no real issue, just a bit of hassle. I was in a third‑floor room, but there was no elevator, so people with weak legs might have trouble.

The staff were polite and guided me carefully, and because I had a baby they carried the stroller and luggage to the room. There was no microwave in the room, but there was one in the lobby, which was helpful! The air conditioner didn’t work well.

The room was good. When checking in, the staff in the lobby were playing games and didn’t give any instructions. They wore casual clothes and didn’t respond to me, thinking I was a customer, and only started to help after laughing. It was unbelievable.

The air conditioner didn't turn on, so it took a while to cool down; the bathroom is unnecessarily large, there's no changing area, and the sink is in the bath, which is inconvenient.
