“Delightful little stay off the beaten track. Great for star-gazing and lizard watching.”

The host was a genuinely nice guy who offered to pick me up from the bus stop and drop me off at the ferry the next day. The place is a charming off‑the‑beaten‑track spot surrounded by nature, though you need to be okay with lizards because there are quite a few geckos. I was a bit nervous about spiders due to the old building, but I didn’t actually see any.

“A wonderful stay”

The guesthouse has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and there’s a parking space if you’re driving—definitely worth it because there are great sightseeing spots nearby. It feels like staying at someone’s home in every good way. Whoever decorated the place clearly loves The Beatles! The hosts were incredibly kind. I had to leave early in the morning because of a typhoon, so the owner kindly made me a vegetarian bento breakfast to take, even though I had breakfast included. I definitely want to return. Nothing was missing; everything was perfect. I wish I could stay longer!

“80〜90％満足しました”

The owner’s neighboring chicken shop, 本部チキン, was delicious and made me happy ❤️ I want to go to まちべ. I didn’t get breakfast, so I bought lunch instead 🍗. The friendly owner couple talked a lot with me; the wife taught me snorkeling points 🤿. Next time I’d like to order dinner too. If I drive, there’s a folk‑music izakaya and a shop owned by a famous actress’s husband a bit farther away. The inn is on a hill, so on fireworks day it gets pretty busy—non‑guests also come up to watch. The interior feels like a Beatles museum and is lovely ❣️ They seem to offer a shuttle to the bus stop 🚌. The building is a block of a makeshift house (I like it 🤣). There are geckos… they don’t bite 🤣. The garden has a lot of plants, so there are mosquitoes 🦟. It’s an old, makeshift cabin.

The staff were very friendly. It’s right in the middle of the landscape, giving a very pure, relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant and supermarket were unfortunately too far (not a problem for me though!).

“水族館から歩いて行ける距離でお安く、でも静かでグッスリ眠れました、”

The owner couple were very kind, and I heard interesting stories from the husband. The wife’s fried chicken is said to be delicious by other guests, so next time I’ll order dinner and stay again. There’s a washer/dryer, so I can bring fewer clothes. It’s not the inn’s fault, but walking from the bus stop on the Bise Fuki-gumaki avenue takes about 20 minutes, and there’s only one streetlamp along the dark path, so you climb a slight hill in the dark. A sign appears at the corner where you turn right from the bus road, but it’s invisible at night, so check Google Maps carefully on the way.
