In the hotel room with the exposed rafters I repeatedly hit my head hard (it was exactly at forehead height for me). The room was not properly cleaned, which I could see clearly on my heavily soiled socks. The cleaning staff left my window open all day after the first night, which I generally like, but some teenagers were smoking weed in the hotel courtyard, so my whole room smelled of grass and cigarettes. The new breakfast is no longer comparable to the previous one in terms of location and offering, and the parking area behind the church is no longer available, so I will avoid a future visit.

The Mariandl an Berg is an exceptionally pleasant hotel with very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff across all departments. In addition to the various “well‑being oases” right in the old town, there’s a superb breakfast, an Italian restaurant, and for night owls, an outstanding Sky Bar overlooking Amberg’s rooftops, where the service staff happily fulfill every request. The value for money is appropriate, except the on‑site parking garage is a bit above average in price. Our stay at Mariandl an Berg turned out to be a delightful experience, highly recommended ***** ✓. The only downside was that we had to leave again soon 😉

“Super Hotel!!”

This is the best hotel on our bike tour “5Flüsse,” friendly, stylish rooms, a great bike garage, and basically everything you could need!!
