We spent four nights at White Sands Resort Lembeh, doing eight dives—six morning muck dives, a sunset mandarin fish dive, and a memorable blackwater dive—and the staff treated us like family from the start; the resort was calm and easygoing, and every dive was flawlessly organized with outstanding skippers, crew, and dive masters who knew Lembeh’s marine life inside and out, spotting even the tiniest creatures, while our room was spacious, spotless, and well furnished; the only tweak that would make it perfect is hotter shower water, though the open-air shower with tropical rain was oddly delightful, and overall it was a warm, caring, and excellent experience that I’d gladly repeat, even though I wish the showers were at least boiling—though that’s my fault, not theirs.
