“Not what I ordered, not what I wanted.”

I was given a replacement room because the original was flooded; the new room was in a shared house 15 minutes away and had no toilet, even though I had paid extra for one. I guess I should have chosen a cheaper option. The staircase up was frighteningly steep, more like a ladder. The room itself offered no amenities—no kettle, no mugs, no TV—just a bed, a table, a wardrobe and a cabinet. It was noisy, especially from the back of the house.

“Wasn’t comfortable room at all .”

The location was close to my events, which was a plus. However, the mattress was terrible; you could feel the wires. Towels had bleach stains, and the bathroom was filthy with hair everywhere.

The place felt like a mix of Pakistan, India, Africa, and whatever else. I expected to be greeted by English speakers, but instead I met people who spoke English worse than I did.

“No one to let us in and no contact from the owners forced us to cancel and seek alternative accommodation.”

Despite contacting the owners through the app to advise of arrival time of 5-6pm no one was at the accommodation to receive us at 545pm. Four phone calls over the next 15 minutes to the contact number all went to voice mail. No response from email attempt either. were also unable to contact the owner and canceled our booking. I cannot rate the property as we didn't stay but there was no attempt from the owners to respond to my message sent in the morning and no contact until after we had canceled our booking and had to book other accommodation
