The staff were very helpful, and the hotel isn’t trying to be top‑tier, which is fine. Cleaning was exemplary, reception was available 24/7 and helped us find good restaurants, and the recommendations were genuinely useful, so it didn’t feel staged. The hangers for jackets and coats were frustrating – instead of a hook, there’s a pin on a plastic holder that failed ten times before I managed to hang my coat with surgical precision. I’m not sure if this is specific to this hotel or a French norm, but I’d prefer regular hooks. The pillow was very soft, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep, but we were on a fair and exhausted in the evenings, so it wasn’t a deal‑breaker.

The room size was reasonable and the bathroom was good. It’s somewhat far from the city center but close to the metro station, and there are halal food shops nearby. The nearby streets (below the metro bridge) have many homeless migrant tents.
