They contacted me on the day of booking, and I requested a ground‑floor room because of my husband’s mobility, and they managed to provide that at short notice.

“Very unpleasant experience in room 17, go elsewhere”

The location was great, but the headboards were ripped to the foam, the sheets, covers and cushions were stained, a window pane was broken and taped, a sash window kept rattling because its fixing was broken, crockery was chipped, the toilet roll holder in the bathroom was broken, and the receptionist was unhelpful, rude, argumentative, told us we could leave, offered no apology or price cut, and left us to figure out other accommodation at 5pm on a Saturday night; I think room 17 should be taken off the listings until it meets a decent standard.

“Quiet, good area, friendly staff.”

I got a good deal here, but the bed throw and carpet were a bit dirty, though it didn’t really ruin our stay.
