This place ranks right up there with The Gritti, Manoir, and Claridges as the best hotel I've ever stayed in—perfect in every way, except that I had to leave!

Breakfast was excellent; the venue is beautiful and tastefully decorated. All the staff were very, very nice, friendly, and very helpful. The room had lovely nice touches, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The toiletries were lovely too. Nothing to complain about.

The staff were AMAZING!! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, and they knew us whenever we arrived or left; it was such a comfortable and unique place, with a private elevator to our room. The location was perfect, with easy access to everything within Cape Town—from the city center and markets to the waterfront and Table Mountain. The history of the building and location were definitely iconic. The rooms were large with a very comfortable bed. The refrigerator was always stocked well, and all the amenities were impeccable, including Diptyque, which was top notch. I will definitely stay there again. It was all great; I would not change a thing.
