I was disappointed to arrive at a hotel and restaurant that were both closed, unkempt, and without any staff, and then have to fetch the keys 200 m away at the Ambassadeurs annex; it was just not engaging at all, though the quietness was a plus.

The welcome was a letdown 500 m from the hotel, which looked very like a public housing block, and the toilets only worked if you didn’t close the door, a real hassle.
