The owners were incredibly kind and always on time for breakfast, which tasted great. The house was spotless, making this B&B the best experience I've had. I’m grateful for everything they did. The only downside was that it’s a little far from the city centre, but that’s not a big deal because there are plenty of buses.

The property sits in the quiet town of Ramstalund, perfect for escaping city bustle yet close enough to Uppsala’s centre. Nearby, a 15‑minute walk takes you to a dam surrounded by pine forests—ideal for a contemplative solo traveller. Aranka and Solomon were super friendly and accommodating, always ensuring I had what I needed; be sure to chat with them! The only caveat is that you’ll be staying in Aranka’s home, so while she offers complete privacy, you’ll share space with other guests who may be staying at the same time.

The host was friendly yet non‑intrusive. The village is gorgeous, surrounded by green fields and forested hills, with wildflowers everywhere—peonies and iris blaze in the garden. It’s quiet and easy to reach by bus from Uppsala, and there are plenty of back roads for walking. The breakfast included cherry juice made from a tree in the backyard. I arrived just before Midsummer, and it was a treat to join the local celebrations!
