The spot is far from the usual tourist paths, which is great for getting a real feel for the area. The manager, who also runs the nearby castle a few hundred metres away, was very helpful. The room’s view could be better, and a bit more attention to cleaning would boost the overall rating.

Getting here requires a causeway to the island, making it perfect for quiet strolls. The castle is visible from the property and can be reached on foot. The small town offers a few pubs and a central store. Our room was comfortable, and there’s a communal sitting area downstairs. Samantha was very sweet. We enjoyed an Irish breakfast in the morning before heading out.

The location on Carriga Island is incredible, with views of the ruins of Carrigafoyle Castle and its church. The rooms had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good. Our host was friendly and accommodating, and we also liked the resident dog.

A lovely older home, well maintained and very comfortable. Samantha was very accommodating and even set up a kettle for me to fill a hot water bottle. The Irish breakfast she made was delicious and sure to carry us through the day.

The host’s kindness and the amazing breakfast made for a great meal. The B&B’s location, though quite remote, has a certain charm, especially the view of the ruined fort, which was a nice sight to see. The rooms were small, and the shower cabins were also small.
