The area was bustling, but the faucet chain in the bathroom was broken.

The staff treated us with genuine warmth and I’d definitely return, especially since it’s just a stone’s throw from Sakura‑machi Kumamoto; however, the facilities felt a little dated.

The area around the hotel is packed with various niche businesses, so I steered clear of that part, but the other neighborhoods were lively and a short walk brought me to an Ichiran ramen shop and some nice shopping spots; the hotel offers paid parking that can be booked ahead and works with two nearby lots—though you have to ask about them. My parking ticket got ruined in the laundry, yet the night‑shift staff, despite the language barrier, were very helpful in arranging a replacement and even escorted me to the lot first thing in the morning to retrieve my car, which was truly thoughtful. The room was small, but acceptable.
